Play and explore with The Great Northern at Silverwood Park!
Indoor and outdoor activities include a live show of Brains On!, kicksledding, illuminated fat tire biking, luminary trails, and campfires for making s’mores. The Brick Oven Pizza Bus will be on site with food for purchase and Melanin in Motion will guide illuminated mountain bike rides throughout the event.
Brains On! is an award-winning science podcast hosted by Molly Bloom and a rotating cast of kids. Every episode answers questions from listeners like, “Why do feet stink?” “What did dinosaurs sound like?” and “What is ADHD?” During this special presentation, Molly Bloom and friends will present interactive games exploring Weird Weather and explain the science of why our weather is getting weirder thanks to a changing climate. Brains On! will start promptly at 6 pm in The Great Hall.
This event is open to all ages.
Plan Your Experience
There will be ice skating on the lake! Participants are asked to bring their own skates, there will not be skates available for purchase or rental on site.
For your safety, if you plan on walking on the lake, we recommend wearing studded shoes or grippers.
Silverwood Park is accessible by public transportation. There is also free parking available onsite.
