Theodore Wirth Park Ski Trails
$75 (limited to 50 guests)
Celebrated chef Karyn Tomlinson of Myriel—“one of the most revolutionary new spots in America” (Esquire)—and her team have partnered with The Great Northern and the Loppet Foundation to produce a specialty food and ski experience amongst the wintry trails of Theodore Wirth Park. A proud Minnesotan, Karyn grew up in a Scandinavian family with ties to Dassel, MN, where she has built strong relationships with local farmers and foragers in the area. During her time cooking at the former Fäviken in Sweden (named one of Zagat's Top Ten restaurants in the world in 2013), she collected unforgettable memories skiing to the top of a mountain for waffles—an adventure she aspires to recreate for Minnesotans at this event.
Participants will join groups of 15–20 from 11–11:40 am to hit the trails, stopping at a station midway through the trail to enjoy waffles with whipped cream and homemade preserves; hot ham and cheese buns; egg coffee; and hot chocolate.
Thank you to Fat Tire for helping us animate the space!
Please note: Ski trail passes are required at Theodore Wirth Park. Find ski pass information and equipment rentals at loppet.org.
