Nasrieen Habib is a humanitarian entrepreneur and community leader dedicated to bridging faith, sustainability, and social impact. As the Founder of Amanah Recreational Project and Eco Jariyah, she weaves Islamic values into environmental action, creating programs and products that inspire mindful living and strengthen community connections. Through Amanah Rec, Nasrieen promotes environmental stewardship and wellness by providing inclusive outdoor programs such as hiking, kayaking, and sustainability workshops that empower Muslim families to experience nature with confidence and belonging. Her social enterprise Eco Jariyah extends this vision globally through modest, ethically made outdoor apparel that supports clean water wells, orphan care, and climate affected communities across the Global South. As the visionary behind Hiking Hijabie, Nasrieen has built a vibrant movement representing Muslims in the outdoors, encouraging women to connect spiritually and physically with nature while honoring their faith and identity. Her initiatives have grown to serve hundreds of women and families, redefining what inclusive outdoor spaces can look like. Beyond her entrepreneurial work, Nasrieen founded The Underground Café, a creative co working and wellness space for Muslim women featuring a workout area and playroom for mothers, designed to nurture both productivity and belonging. In her humanitarian work, Nasrieen serves on the Board of ARAHA (American Relief Agency for the Horn of Africa), where she leads zero waste initiatives, oversees orphan sponsorship and well building projects, and champions relief efforts for Sudanese families displaced by the ongoing genocide. Rooted in her African heritage and Islamic faith, Nasrieen’s leadership is both visionary and deeply personal. Her life’s work centers on empowering her community to live consciously, serve compassionately, and walk gently on the Earth, embodying what she calls an Eco Sunnah Lifestyle where caring for creation is an act of worship.
