Joey Millet

Joey Millet started skating at five years old in Houston, TX. He competed in four U.S. Junior Championships in Freeskate and Ice Dance. He graduated salutatorian of his high school class and attended UCLA for his undergraduate studies while training in El Segundo, CA. In 2011, he placed fourth at Pacific Coast Sectionals at Junior level and qualified for U.S. Championships. He was the founding president of the UCLA Figure Skating Team in 2011, and the team qualified for their first U.S. Intercollegiate Nationals in 2013. After graduating with a degree in Chemical and Engineering he pursued a career in that field and started working for DuPont. In 2021 he became a USFS Triple Gold Medalist, and he now works in industrial sales and resides in South Minneapolis with his wife and son, Torii and Knowles, and their three Pomeranians. In addition to working in sales, Joey remains a dedicated coach in his own right. He is passionate about sharing his love for movement and knowledge of skating with the next generation of athletes. He is the Assistant Director of American Ice Theatre, Minneapolis/St. Paul and performs throughout the US with the performance company. One of his most recent broadcasted feature was in the 2021 ISU Awards “We Are” music video.
