Beth Dooley, James Beard Award winning food writer, columnist for  Star Tribune Taste, appears regularly on MPR Appetites and in NORTH Magazine. Co-author with Sean Sherman of The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen, James Beard Best American Cookbook, her 13 books include:  Savoring the Seasons of the Northern Heartland with Lucia Watson, James Beard finalist; The Perennial Kitchen: Simple Recipes for a Healthy Future, IACP finalist, and In Winter’s Kitchen: Growing Roots and Breaking Bread in the Northern Heartland, Minnesota Book Award finalist. In Summer’s Kitchen with son Kip Dooley and NIXTA: The Art of Corn: Recipes, Stories, and Art Celebrating America’s Defining Crop, withTeam Tortilla are due out in 2026. Beth serves as Endowed Chair, Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (MISA).
