Misty is a citizen of the White Earth Nation (Anishinaabe Ojibwe) and trained in Public Health research. She blends personal, professional and passion to show up as a community architect, indigenous futurist and advocate for the land. She has led groundbreaking research about dispossessed land in Mni Sota Makoce summarized in a report entitled Oshkigin Noojimo’iwe | Naġi Waƞ P̣etu Uƞ Ihduwaṡ’ake He Oyate Kiƞ Zaniwic̣aye Kte. Misty continues to learn about this land and seeks to cultivate an ever stronger relationship and attunement through pursuits like wild swimming, skiing, fire stewardship within cultural burns, and now hunting.
